Clark Planetarium will be hosting a series of activities to celebrate AstroFest on Saturday, October 20, 2012.  Clark Planetarium’s education department, University of Utah Physics and Astronomy department, Salt lake Astronomical Society (SLAS) and ATK will provide free hands-on demonstrations and activities from 1 to 4 p.m.

In addition to the hands-on activities, telescopes will be set up outside the planetarium for solar viewing.  Mike Murray, Clark Planetarium Dome Theatre Programs Manager, will be holding a free Telescope and Observing workshop at 3 p.m. in the classroom which is located on the 3rd floor by the Mars Landscape.
