Clark Planetarium’s Night School

Callista Pearson

Beginning this month, school is in session at Clark Planetarium and scientific discovery is at the top of our syllabus. Join us for Night School, our new quarterly lecture series, on Thursday, June 21st from 7pm – 8pm. Topics range across scientific disciplines and the open format encourages group discussion and exporation.

John Belz, University of Utah Physicist

University of Utah physicist, John Belz, will kick-off the Night School series with “Two through your head every second – Cosmic Rays”. High energy cosmic rays are important to our understanding of the universe, and Belz will cover what these rays are, where they come from, and how detect them.

Night School sessions are hosted in the Hansen Dome Theatre, and are followed by light refreshments in the Third Floor Exhibits area. Admission is $2. Members are free. Get your tickets today for Night School: we’ll “school” you in science.
