This March, Clark Planetarium’s ATK IMAX Theatre will add two new films to our scheduling line up. Mars Needs Moms will open at Clark Planetarium on March 11th in the ATK IMAX® Theatre. This 3D computer-animated sci-fi film tells the story of 9 year old Milo who doesn’t understand what’s so special about moms.
They constantly nag you to clean your room, do your chores and eat your vegetables. Who needs them? Martians do. On a quest to rescue his mom, Milo will travel to the edge of the galaxy battling an alien nation, challenging its evil leader and realizing not only how much his mom needs him, but how much he needs his mom. Clark Planetarium is also proud to host an encore presentation of The Wildest Dream: Conquest beginning March 25. This thrilling National Geographic film explores the story of George Mallory’s obsession with being the first person to summit Mount Everest. Haunted by Mallory’s story, famed climber Conrad Anker returned to everest 75 years after Mallory to unravel the mysteries surrounding his disappearance.
