Group Discounts: Groups of 20 or more may receive a $1.00 discount per ticket, when a reservation is made at least two weeks in advance for any scheduled show. Call 801.456.4979 for reservations. The Clark Planetarium offers a fun and distinctive venue to hold a birthday party. Birthday parties at the Clark Planetarium appeal to children of all ages with the wide variety of shows and exhibits throughout the facility. The birthday party package is only available on Friday and Saturdays and includes the following:
Galaxy Birthday package:
- Rental of the birthday party room for 90 minutes
- Admission for up to 15 people to either an IMAX or Dome Theatre show
- Science Demonstrations during the party
- Happy Birthday with the child’s name on the theatre screen before the show starts
- Priority seating to the show you are attending
- Your choice of several different IMAX or Dome Theatre shows
- Clark Planetarium t-shirt for the birthday child
- Place Setting for each guest
The birthday package costs $200 and must be booked two weeks in advance.

Cancellation Policy
If a Birthday party is canceled, an administrative fee of 50% of the deposit will be charged. You may reschedule your party without a penalty.

| A full building rental includes your choice of two Dome Theatre and two IMAX shows. The building is closed to the public during the event so you can enjoy all that the Planetarium has to offer including the 10,000 square feet of hands-on, brains-on exhibits. Hansen Dome Theatre

| The Hansen Dome Theatre houses a 55-foot, 205-seat planetarium with a state-of-the-art Digistar 3, manufactured by Evans and Sutherland. Digistar 3 uses six high-definition video projectors at the base of the dome to display a larger-than-life seamless image, without additional display equipment, and without a projection area in the middle of the theater. Each seat features individual control paddles, enabling the audience to interact with star shows directly. A small staging area at the front of the theatre can be used for live presentations and special events. |

| With a 70' wide, 5-story high screen and seating for 297, your guests will be launched into space while viewing a 3-D IMAX film. The ATK IMAX theatre at the Clark Planetarium features a 12,000-watt, 6-channel, digital surround sound system for an auditory experience second to none.
Most of the speakers are positioned behind the five-story high screen, which is perforated with millions of
tiny holes. In this way, sound can come at the audience from the film itself. The Clark Planetarium offers
a wide selection of films to meet the needs of any group.

| Enjoy your next event among the planets. The 3rd floor exhibit area offers an open space on the third floor separated from the rest of the Planetarium. There is plenty of open space for wedding receptions, business meetings, parties and reunions. Interactive exhibits are spread throughout the area to make any event fun and educational. The 3rd floor exhibit area also serves as the entrance to the Hansen Dome Theatre. |

The small exhibit area also provides the opportunity for you to be a weatherperson or see a Moon rock brought back from the Apollo 15 mission. | The classroom is 500 square feet and is located near the third floor exhibits as well as the Dome and IMAX theaters. This is an ideal spot to hold small corporate meetings.

The Clark Planetarium introduces special early morning rates and packages to meet the needs of executives and groups looking for an alternative to the typical breakfast or morning meeting. Various options are available to meet the needs of any organization.

Hold your breakfast meeting or small reception in the Main Lobby before taking in a show or making a presentation in the Dome or IMAX theatre. Greet the people in your group as they walk through the front door and enjoy the exhibits on the main level before anyone else arrives at the Planetarium. The Main Lobby is only available to rent before the Planetarium opens to the public.
Facility Accessories
- Stage: A stage is available in the Dome Theatre. Temporary platforms can also be built for the exhibit areas to accommodate podiums, head tables, etc.
- Lighting: Spotlights, lasers and variable ambience lighting are available in the Dome Theatre.
- A/V Equipment: State-of-the-art audio/visual equipment is available for rental on an as-needed basis.
