Night Vision: Mercury Transit

Duke Johnson

On the morning of May 9th, Mercury will slide across the face of the sun. The planet will rise in Utah with the event already in progress.

In our program, we’ll zoom in and simulate this event so that attendees will have the opportunity to see exactly what will happen, regardless of weather conditions that day. Come join us for a tour of the summer constellations and bright stars before we explore images of Mercury transits from the past.

Night Vision presents live on Thursday, May 5th at 6:45pm in the Hansen Dome Theatre. Tickets are available online or at the Clark Planetarium ticketing desk and are just $2, or free if you’re a member.
