Run for STEM!

Clark Planetarium education staff will be out supporting the first Healthy STEM 5K on June 1 here in Salt Lake City. Parents, students and educators are invited to show that Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) are great for the mind and the body!

There will be a 5K and a Healthy STEM fair, where groups, including Clark Planetarium staff, will have fun hands-on activities for everyone. The Utah State Office of Education will be giving away prize packs of physical education equipment to the schools  (one elementary, one middle, and one high school) that have the highest participation. Participants will also receive a Healthy STEM t-shirt and water bottle.

The fair will be held on June 1 from 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Salt Lake Center for Science Education, at 1400 W. Goodwin Avenue in Salt Lake City. To register or find out more about the schedule click here.
