“Cosmos” Finale and Panel Presentation

Clark Planetarium invites you to join us in the ATK IMAX Theatre for the season finale of Fox’s Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey on June 8th. This screening is FREE to the public, and the episode will be streamed live in HD on the Planetarium’s 70-foot IMAX screen. A small drink & popcorn combo will also be available for just $2.

The evening will also include a prelude panel discussion with topics covering how cosmology has changed since Carl Sagan’s original Cosmos: A Personal Journey aired, the impact shows like Cosmos has on public perception and interest in science, and  the future of astronomy research. Panelists will include:

  • Kyle Dawson, PhD, University of Utah Department of Physics & Astronomy Researcher
  • Anil Seth, PhD, University of Utah Department of Physics & Astronomy Researcher
  • Jonathan Barnes, Salt Lake Community College Astronomy Professor
  • Tim Ermish, President & General Manager, KSTU-Fox13


6:45pm: Seating will begin—seats available on a first-come, first-served basis

7:00 – 7:45pm: Panel Discussion, followed by Q&A

8:00 – 9:00pm: Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey
