Clark Planetarium’s education department is going on the road to Thanksgiving Point for a star party tomorrow, Sept. 17, 2010. Held in the Solar System Walk Garden, the evening will provide a unique venue for nighttime observing.

This event is part of Thanksgiving Point’s NASA BLAST (Bringing Light and Space Together) program. The Solar System Walk Garden provides visitors with a fully-scaled model of our own solar system with planets crafted by glass artists at the Art Institute at Thanksgiving Point.

The star party begins at 7:30 p.m. with star party activities and telescope viewing begins at 8:30 p.m. Cost is $6 for children, $10 for adults. Participants will meet at the Gardens Visitor Center.

Please note: Event is weather permitting.
